For real people, stop this guy before I sit through one more second of really shitty stereotypes and stupidity. You should be ashamed that you have helped only further negative stereotypes about your own race. For the things, I use that word on purpose, you have created I hope that you suffer greatly. What crap it is that spews from your mind. I mean for the love of God if you want to write movies like that at least write more than one movie. It is all the same stuff over and over again.

What are you talking about? Tyler Perry is the best movie, play writer and actor out there. He is a great witness for God and can draw teens and adults alike to Christian principals. Keep it up Tyler…..You have plenty of Christian friends and fans of many races and denominations backing you and your work…….
I appreciate the comment and I can appreciate what he does but I am sorry, if there was such a thing as anti-laughing he would be the inventor.
It is good that he does do a lot of good stuff but making the same movie on a one per day schedule is really a bit out of hand. I am not sure I would say that he is the BEST screenwriter, play writer, and actor.
If I am picking the best actor out there I am going with someone like Phillip Seymour Hoffman or well even Steven Root, I mean pick someone with some range if you are going to say the “best” actor. There is a lot to be said for sticking to a formula though and many people and great movies come from a formula and straying from that formula irritates people a lot. An example of lack of flexibility should be shown by the IMDB entry for him, if you notice he has starred, directed, produced, and wrote 15 films. They are all the same films listed in these categories though, so it seems to imply that he can only work when he is involved in every aspect of his performance.
Best screenwriter, again someone with range, even Mike Judge writes some good movies. Especially Idiocracy, which if you actually watch and see past the comedy is a pretty insightful movie about the current state of the world and where it is heading.
Best play writer….I am coping out on this one and I am going to go with someone who kept with a formula and showed a vast amount of knowledge in mythology and classical literature, Shakespeare.
It is important to instill values in people but should those values come from plays, movies, or T.V.? I had these things called parents that taught me a lot of stuff and last I checked they are a common thing to have. So in my opinion the best instiller of values Christian or otherwise are the people who raise you.

I just saw a commercial for another series coming early next year created by Tyler Perry and for a moment, I admit, I seriously considered suicide. I have been vaguely aware of Tyler Perry for quite a few years now due to his ridiculously titled and equally embarrassing stage plays. The fact that he has prospered from his work and is encouraged by some section of the public only serves to reaffirm my case for sociopathic misanthropy. I urge anyone with even a hint of taste and more than half a brain to stop Tyler Perry before it’s too late!
If you dislike it so much don’t watch it. I believe what he is doing gives others the chance to bring their whole family to the movies and enjoy some time together, learning a few lessons here and there. It’s pretty sad that we are so saturated by a Hollywood of violence, sex, obscenities etc etc, that we can not appreciate cleanliness or transparency.
Hard not to watch it when every freaking thing on TV is a giant ad for his work. You are right though if his movie involved any of the following i would like him.
Murder
Rape
Incest
Excessive Violence
Drug Use
Guns
Explosions
Nudity
More Nudity
Lots of Nudity
Jail Shower Scenes
Notice I say Excessive Violence because if it wasn’t really excessive it couldn’t drown out the upbeat message enough for me. I mean really, get with it. I dislike him because he makes bad movies not because I want to see less cleanliness. The original point of theatre, movies, music, etc.. was to stimulate you, to make you think, feel something. He creates the same generic cookie cutter crap as you would see in an upbeat family sitcom on ABC. I understand people like him but really, go rent a movie that you didn’t see a preview for, watch movies from the 60’s. Classics like Vincent Price movies, many of which are based on classic literature, watch something foreign, maybe even a documentary so you can see truth and not someone trying to forcefeed you an “upbeat” message that, in all honesty, is bullshit that you will never see in the real world. Be honest and don’t escape from the truth of the situation by watching movie that are impossible lies, I lump horrible action movies and others into this category also before you try to jump on that.
So overall in reply to “Don’t watch it.” Well if you don’t like my blog post then “Don’t read it.”

Something needs to be done about Tyler Perry!!!! He started off modest with one movie about him cross dressing as some old woman (I guess Big Mamma’s House 1 and 2 just weren’t good enough), and now he’s turned into some sort of awful machine pumping out two horrendous television sit-coms and god knows how many movies. Maybe this is just me needing to vent, but when I saw a preview for a new movie about his old woman character going to jail (Ernest?) I guess I just snapped.

Tyler Perry blows, i hate seeing those stupid commercials and I wish he would just go away… I cant believe they blow off 2 hours of family guy for 2 hours of the worst sitcom on TV. Also… Tjay… He did not direct Big Mommas house, so dont give him credit… Martin Lawrence is funny and I doubt he would work with Tyler Perry… even if he was the last director on earth, and the fate of the human race solely depended upon Tyler Perry directing another piece of crap movie or series that will be cancelled within 2 years….
He enforces typical and somewhat offensive black stereo types. The movies and two shows lack creative direction and family infrastructure. It promotes stupidity and being socially bankrupt. In fact, I’m positive, if you sat through anything he has put out, your IQ will drop 20 points. Who is still giving him work? Is TBS THAT hard up for shows? They’re terrible and if another “Medea’ movie comes out, I will have lost all faith in mankind forever. Oh, and another thing, “using” God to get by with terrible comedic attempts is worse than the movies themselves.

spike lee is a total racist to the max. he’s negative and makes bad movies continually. Tyler perry’s plays are outstanding and funny and have something good to say. to bad you judge him for his tv programs instead of watching a play or two. merry christmas to you as well.
