Ok so I didn’t know this until right now and I only happened to accidently see it. If you have updated your EFI Firmware at least three or eighteen times then don’t feel bad, I am also in your boat. The solution, you have to run it manually but I saw no where the installer telling me this. To fix this problem go to:
Applications => Utilities => MacBook EFI Firmware Update
Hope this helps someone keep from losing their mind as I have for the past month and a half.
