I recently bought a Squier Vintage Modified SSH Telecaster and it is the most kickass thing I can imagine. I have owned many “nice” guitars, most recently a Fender Telecaster, and as nice as they all were none of them even come close to the playability and comfort out of the box that this new Squier Telecaster has.
Some of the guitars I have owned include Fender Tele’s, Pre-lawsuit Japanese copies, Les Pauls, a lot of Ibanez guitars, Schecter, Dean, Heartfield, and some I don’t even remember and none of them came close to this guitar in terms of quality and sound without work. I have had other guitars that had the versatility of this guitar but only after 200 dollars in pickups and another 100 dollars of luthier work.
I am not going to just keep ranting about this guitar but I will answer any questions from people who are looking at this guitar and wondering about it. I am sure some people would avoid it because of the price tag and the name on the headstock but really play well and no one will make fun of what you play unless they are just clueless. Don’t be fooled though this guitar is a steal at that price.
