On Drupal 5.10 I’ve got a problem with drupal.js on line 31 (button is undefined): I rewrite your implementation and now it works fine:

Nice howto, patched with themegarden.org suggestion it works fine on 5.x. Drupal 6 has its own implementation of a image button via a theme function.

Good stuff – and at the same overcomplex for such a small visual change ! I wish the drupal form API was easier to use and theme, so that half-ass web developers like me, could do more with it.

Sorry didn’t reply to that for a long time. Those are from stripping characters that Wordpress did for me I guess. Sorry didn’t catch those. Either way for anyone needing this in the future you may have to use your best judgement on reformatting this into nice code in your files because I set the code to wrap so it wouldn’t be behind the sidebar. It is pretty straightforward and shouldn’t be a problem for anyone I wouldn’t imagine.

I had to remove the /> and add ‘;
Also, > wasn’t working for me so I just used ‘>’

I agree, it was a real pain and if not for the links that I put in the post I don’t know if I could of figured it out without some real digging. Hopefully this will help a few people out and I have been reading that it is there in Drupal 6 so hopefully not much more of having to do these sorts of tweaks!
